apple cinnamon oatmeal

  • Stewed Apples:

    • 1 apple, diced
    • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1-2 tbsp nudie cloudy apple juice

    Oatmeal

    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup nudie cloudy apple juice
    • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
    • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
    • Pinch of sea salt

    Garnish

    • Walnuts
    • Nut butter
    • Yogurt
    • Extra sprinkle of cinnamon
    1. Add the apples, cinnamon and juice into a small saucepan. Stir well, pop the lid on and cook over medium low heat until softened, stirring occasionally. Start with 1 tbsp juice and add in an extra 1 tbsp if the liquid has evaporated but apples need to soften slightly more.
    2. Combine the oats, apple juice, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt into a separate saucepan. Stir well and cook over medium high heat until thickened to your desired consistency, stirring often.
    3. When ready to serve, add half of the stewed apples into the oatmeal mix and stir through. Transfer into a bowl and top with the remaining apples along with the toppings of your choice. Enjoy while warm!
